Burkina Faso: Mobile app development training provided to women in Ouagadougou

In Burkina Faso, a foundation has decided to fight against the lack of local mobile applications.

The “Woman, ICT and Sustainable Development” foundation has organised a training on Android mobile application development for 15 computer scientists in the Burkinabe capital, Ouagadougou.

The initiative aimed at enabling women to follow the train of development in this area as “the future of Africa soon will combine with the use of mobile devices through applications that are useful to people ,” said the president of the foundation, Jeanette Mariam Ouattara.

“After they have attended the training sessions, they will be encouraged to develop applications like the labor code, an immunization schedule for children aged 0 to 15 years , the attractions of Burkina Faso , the restaurants in Ouagadougou and Bobo -Dioulasso with opportunities for comment, that are sure to be helpful for the populations”, added Mariam Ouattara.
