Tigo, the 2nd operator to have arrived on the Senegalese market, has announced the arrival of a new CEO. Succeeding SALUM Karim, Mr Diego Camberos will take up his new position from October 7, according to a press release issued by the operator.
Arriving from Tigo Rwanda, also the second operator in the country behind MTN, M Camberos held various international positions in Latin America, including head of sales and distribution for Trilogy in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. He holds an MBA from the University of the Andes in Colombia, and a Degree from the University of South Carolina, United States.
He will be working in a company that has been in turmoil for several years, but that is about to open a new page in its history by launching the 3G and other Internet services, after adjusting its licensing issues with the State of Senegal.
