The VentureOut Challenge is a contest geared towards mobile developers as well as tech-entrepreneurs. The program rolls out from August to November and is targeting entrepreneurs in the mobile sector from 31 countries.
The top 9 from the challenge will be sent to Moldavia on October 30th and 31st for the Dragon’s Den Exposition and will challenge each other to win a check of $10,000.
They will also have the opportunity to participate to the TechCrunch Disrupt in Europe, and get to interact with the industry’s experts.
The initiative hopes to allow participants to take their applications outside of their respective national borders with the slogan “Propel your app to new geographies.”
Hubs such as CTICDakar (Senegal), mLab (Kenya and South Africa), CC Hub (Nigeria) and infoDev and CRDF Global will be the event’s partners. It is expected that the partners will organize workshops to provide more information on the VentureOut Challenge. At the moment, the CC Hub is the only one to have set a date.
