Windows 8.1 To Be Released in October

It’s official! Microsoft has announced through a press release the Windows 8 update (8.1) which will be available for download on the Windows Store on October 17th at 1PM, for free.

The new OS will also be available in points of sales the following day. This has been set to enable installation on tablets and laptops.

Microsoft explained on its blog that Windows 8.1 is the product of the company’s vision for version 8.

As far as applications and the Windows Store are concerned, there have been some improvements. For example, it will now be possible to modify even more the built-in softwares, or to show 3 applications simultaneously on a single screen.
