According to the blog AllThingsD, Apple is to reveal its newest iPhone on September 10th. The group has not confirmed the information yet. The blog cites anonymous sources who have said that, “the launch comes at an important time for Apple, which continues to make a lot of money from the iPhone but has seen its global market share dip amid a growing wave of lower-cost Android devices, as well as an intense battle with archrival Samsung.”
Is the American brand racing against time? It would appear so. According to the site USA Today, Samsung will be releasing a new Galaxy phone a week before Apple’s iPhone.
When it comes to the new iPhone’s features, all we have are speculations. It is said that the iPhone 5S will allegedly feature an A7 processor, a more efficient sensor while keeping the same resolution as the iPhone 5. The rumors have mentioned the possibility of a Home button with fingerprint recognition.
Will the American brand position itself as the leader in the mobile market again after having handed over its spot to the Korean firm for this long? We are curious to find out!
