Kenya: Asus Plans Takeover the Market

The computer manufacturer Asus has announced its intention to increase its market shares in Kenya by introducing 3 laptop product lines–Taichi Convertible Ultrabook, Zenbook Touch Ultrabook and G-Series.

The company has stated that it would launch an intensive marketing campaign starting in August with the objective of selling the brand’s new devices ( particularly the Fonepad, the Nexus 7 and the Vivo Books which have recently been introduced in the Kenyan market).

We are keen to meet the insatiable demand for new technology products in Kenya and the wider East African region. Our products are designed to meet the ever-changing lifestyles of our customers with emphasis on simplicity and entertainment,” stated Chris WEN, Product Manager for Asus Kenya.

The firm based in Taiwan has recently been ranked 3rd by the International Corporation (IDC) on the tablet market after shipping out 2,7 million units during the first trimester of 2013.
