Since May 1st 2002, the South African company Vodacom has implemented itself in the Democratic Republic of Congo and has since multiplied strategies to appeal to mobile users in Congo. The company has just launched 3G+ access to its subscribers.
The news was made public on Tuesday, August 6th 2013, a few weeks only after the contract allocating the optical fiber with the SCPT was signed. A contract which granted access to the West Africa Cable system.
“Clients will benefit from uninterrupted connectivity and a lower, larger and deeper coverage. The connection using optical fibers that has been launched will bring an ultra fast 3G+ internet” has assured the heads of the South African firm to the Congolese press.
