The New Nexus 7 in 7 Points!


Yesterday, Google presented the new version of its new Nexus 7 by Asus, as well a much more exciting gadget called Chromecast. Here’s a quick summary for those who missed the keynote:

  1. The tablet will feature a 7″ screen with a 1980 x 1200 pixels (323 ppp)
  2. It comes in with a Snapdragon S4 Pro chip at a 1.5Ghz with a 2Go RAM and Adreno 320 GPU
  3. It will come with either 16Go or 32Go of storage
  4. It will have a front camera with a 1,2 megapixels and a rear camera with 5 megapixels
  5. It will feature virtual sound 5.1, 4G and LTE (in the US), WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS and HDMI output
  6. It will have an average of 9 hours of battery life when watching videos and 10 hours of web surfing
  7. The tablet can be charged wirelessly with a 4000 mAh

Other features were presented such as the new Android operating system and the “multi-user” functionality that will enable multiple accounts to use the same tablet but with different access levels.

The tablet will be available for purchase starting this August and will be sold at 229 Euros for the 16Go and 269 Euros for the 32Go.
