The Post-PRISM revelations atmosphere is still very thick. Solutions to avoid America’s NSA PRISM surveillance program have already made available, from alternative products to the 9 companies mentioned in Edward SNOWDEN’s leaked documents to now encrypted messaging system.
Peter SUNDE, co-founder of The Pirate Bay is hoping to launch a messaging app called Hemlis which would be similar to Whatsapp but would also feature end-to-end encryption making it difficult to spy upon.
The project is to be sponsored by users and will require $100,000 in order to be developed. So far the crowd has responded quite well and has helped SUNDE raise over $18,000.
