Ghana To Introduce Eye-Recognition in Banks

To answer some of Ghana’s bank security flaws, the government is setting up an eye-recognition system for bank account owners and ATM users.

The news was revealed by the online The Chronicle which stated that there is a tight collaboration between IBM, International Computer System (ICS) and Sunset Systems. The new system would annul the use of other identification tools such as card PINs and ID cards.

Eye-recognition systems in the bank sector are already being used in Arab countries by the elite in order to ensure the highest security possible to their accounts.
