Azzeddinne Al Mountassir BILLAH, the chief of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) in Morocco, stated that “This is not a luxury. The aims of adopting 4G for mobile phones are firstly to maintain the growth of this sector and secondly to improve service quality“.
The agency has recorded that more than half of the Moroccan population uses the internet, and internet subscription has reached almost 4 million citizens.
Introducing 4G to the Moroccan people will serve as a tool to fulfill the current demands they may have in terms of speed and capacity.
Each of Morocco’s telecom service providers will bid for 4G licenses by the end of 2013.
