Apple Hands Out $30 Million Worth of iPads to Schools

The Cupertino firm has won a $30 million contract, the equivalent of 15 billion FCFA, after a call for bid from the Los Angeles public school services aimed to provide tablets to the American public schools.

The head of the services have justified their choice with the high positive feedback they have received from teachers and students who have tried the device. The tablets will be handed in with educational content, iWork, iLife and iTunes.

A first batch of 31,000 tablets will be delivered this Fall to 47 schools.

According to Phill SCHILLER there are already “over 10 million iPads in schools,” which demonstrates that the educational system finds the devices adequate for studies.
