Millicom, the owner of Tigo Telecommunications Company, has announced that it will invest $80 million in the network over the next 5 years.
The news was given after a meeting between Rwandan President Paul KAGAME and Hans Holger ALBRECHT, President and CEO of Millicom.
“We are happy doing business in Rwanda and we would like to make more investments and take advantage of the favorable investment environment. Our clients are demanding and we want to position ourselves to be able to serve them even better,” stated ALBRECHT.
According to the Secretary of Youth and ICT, Jean Philbert NSENGIMANA, the announcement proves that more and more investors are trusting his country, which is now a favored location for investments.
