Startup Week is continuing its path on the African continent. After great success in Senegal, Ivory Coast and other countries, the competition arrived in Cameroon on May 31st.
Though the competition does not require any introduction, Startup Weekend is a 54 hour contest whose first edition was a catalyst to several startup launches in the Senegalese ecosystem. In Douala’s first edition, it has enabled the identification of projects with great potential.
Congratulations to the Chip’s Line project. an initiative aiming to sell plantain chips at an international level. It won first place at Douala’s Startup Weekend first edition.
The other awarded projects were obook.biz, at second place, for the first virtual mall in Cameroon. Followed by the Event Management Platform at third place.
The Startup Weekends in Africa keep on going in Africa, but are never the same…
