Ushahdi‘s co-founder, and more recently of mzalendo.com, Ory OKOLLOH has left her job as policy manager in Sub-Saharan Africa at Google to join eBay’s creator Pierre OMIDYAR philanthropic investment firm. She will now be part of the Omidyar Network as Investment Director.
OKOLLOH will help in the support of innovative initiatives in technology and media, providing the information and tools required so that citizens can be a part of the governance process.
“Ory is an established leader in the technology and transparency communities,” declared Stephen KING of the Omidyar Network, “she will help stimulate the growth and impact of Omidyar Network by giving it her voice and her considerable experience in Africa.”
OKOLLOH will be joining a growing team in the Johannesburg office. As a figure in the ICT ecosystem in Africa that we appreciate, we would like to wish her best of luck!
