The research presented by the company Strategy Analytics indicate that the profits generated by the Android smartphone sales have reached $5.3 billion in the first trimester of 2014. Samsung, by itself, has grabbed an impressive $5.1 billion, which gives it 94.7% of all the generated revenues
Neil SHAH, analyst at Strategy Analytics stated, “we estimate the global Android smartphone industry generated total operating profits of US$5.3 billion during Q1 2013. This represents 43 percent share of the entire smartphone industry’s operating profits, which reached US$12.5 billion worldwide in the first quarter of this year.”
Key elements to the Korean mogul’s success is, according to experts, elegant products, an efficient distribution channel and an appealing marketing.
