According to the Etrade Supply–the supplier of mobile parts, Apple is in the process of releasing a “low cost” iPhone this year.
Though the manufacturer generally provides reliable information on Apple, it is one of the many sources to have announced the release of a cheaper iPhone than the iPhone 5, without necessarily positioning itself as a competitor to the lower entry phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Pocket or the Huawei Ideos.
The phone should be in plastic, which would make it cheaper to produce. No date nor price have been announced at the moment for a device the Apple brand needs to reposition itself as the reference in the mobile market, especially since that position was taken by the giant Samsung.
What would you like to see in the low-cost iPhone? Would you purchase it?
