On April 26th, 2013, Gabon Télécom launched a new payment method called the “e-facture” (or e-bill), that will allow companies that are clients of the network provider to pay some of their bills online or via SMS.
“The e-bill system wants to be a free and secure solution that answers our clients’ concrete needs by allowing them to receive their bills quickly and in real-time. It will also allow them to save their bills of the last 6 months,” says Lhoussaine OUSSALAH, the General Manager of Gabon Télécom.
The goal is to make the clients avoid commuting and queues to pay their bills. It is a logical follow-up to the evolution of the services provided by Gabon Télécom after the launch of its mobile banking service at the beginning of the year. After the lower internet access cost, things seem to be moving in the right direction in Gabon.
